Amish crafted Trestle leg dining tables offer a lot of support on a very solid base.

Often referred to as Mission or Shaker styles, trestle dining tables are designed with two support units towards each end of the table with a connecting bar of some design between them. The support units provide a lot of the style with various vertical rails, boards or panels between the actual support legs.

The support legs themselves are usually square. They are often enhanced with some added detail or trim to set them off. They may have a heavy blocky look or be lighter and smaller while still retaining the solid support needed for commonly larger tables.

Trestle tables or Shaker-Mission style tables are most commonly with square or rectangle tops . The tops can be solid one piece slab tops or may include leaves to expand the seating capacity. As the trestle support base does not usually move as the top expands, additional removable support legs are needed if the top expands more than 36″. That is, a trestle table that is 72 inches long when closed, and seat6-8 people can be expanded with 3 – 12″ leaves to 108″ and seat 10-12 people without additional support legs.

All of our Amish crafted, solid wood tables are 100% American made.
